Event Description:

Join the Tompkins Chamber and several partners to discuss a unique nonprofit collaboration intended to benefit our area workforce and employers. The Healthy Workforce Network offers educational and training supports to individuals in recovery, helps explore career opportunities, and helps develop and maintain a base of recovery friendly employers in Tompkins County.

This group, led by the Alcohol & Drug Council, collaborated to submit a Federal grant application through the Appalachian Regional Commission and US Department of Labor attract funding to Tompkins County. The group of area nonprofit organizations has been meeting and collaborating for over a year to implement this program to benefit area residents and employers. During this webinar learn more about their collaboration, and what it means to be a recovery friendly employer to participate in the program.

The Healthy Workforce Network includes the Alcohol & Drug Council, Challenge Workforce Solutions, Tompkins Cortland Community College, OAR of Tompkins County/College Initiative Upstate, Workforce NY, and the Tompkins Chamber.

The format of the webinar will be a 60 minute presentation of information followed by a 20 minute Q&A.
