Cause for celebration!
Foodnet Meals on Wheels was successful in award of a Tompkins County Recovery Fund (ARPA) Grant to update the entrance to the building and to get a new roof. The project is also supported by the Triad Foundation and the Phyllis Allen Trust. The new entryway boasts energy efficient windows, doors and walls and maximizes both the kitchen and main office areas.  The back entrance boasts a new loading dock area and canopy to maximize Foodnet’s meal delivery process. The new metal roof ties the project together as does grading work that helps mitigate run off. The upgrades create a work environment that is more healthy (natural air flow and climate controlled) for employees and volunteers who work hard serving daily meals to older adults in Tompkins County.
