The Tompkins Chamber, Downtown Ithaca Alliance and Ithaca Area Economic Development invite local businesses to attend an informational session about the Tompkins Community Recovery Fund (TCRF).
The Tompkins County Legislature created the TCRF to provide one-time grant funding to eligible organizations to assist with recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. They have engaged with MRB group to manage the grant process.
Presenter Tracy Verrier, project manager at MRG Group, will provide an overview including program priorities, eligibility criteria, application guidelines and project timelines. It is anticipated that applications will be accepted beginning late September 2022.
The program’s aim is to grant $6.5 million to local organizations and businesses to undertake projects that address the impacts of the COVID-19 including equity and social justice impacts; support local not-for-profit organizations and small businesses impacted by shutdowns; build long-term capacity and resilience; and address long-term, critical gaps in services such as child care, job training, and affordable housing.
Gary Ferguson and Kristina Thelen will be attending representing the DIA, Kurt Anderson from IAED, and Jennifer Tavares from the Tompkins Chamber. Ample time will be left for questions.
